Why am I running out of hot water?

I took a short shower. I noticed the hot water steadily cool down until it is just lukewarm. I'm the only person living at my apartment. How is it possible that I already used up all the hot water? Could my hot water heater hot be filling itself up with water and I just used the last bit of it? I hear a hissing sound coming from the heater. I don't know how to check if there is any water in the heater. I notice there are two water pipes connected to the heater, one is cold and one is warm. HELP!!! Ammonia detected after TSS!!!?

I have a 30 Gallon Eclipse Pfe 3 tank w/ filter, bio wheel, and heater. My tank has gravel and fake plants. I started the tank up on July 6th with nothing in it. A week later I added 4 tiger barbs. ammonia, nitrite and Nitrates stayed at 0. Then I added Tetra Safestart On July 22nd (this past Thur) and immediately put in 2 more tiger barbs and 4 blue/green tiger barbs. Two days later I got an ammonia reading of 0.25ppm. Nervous about that, since my pH in the tank for some reason stays at 8.0, I decided to do a 25% water change. This was last night. This morning the ammonia reading is still 0.25ppm, while my nitrites and nitrates are still at 0ppm. Did I mess things up by doing the 25% water change?? I just got so scared for the fish since I know the ammonia is more toxic in my tank with a ph of 8.0. I have another bottle of TSS (for 30 gallons) - should I add that one too, or is that too much? Or, should I just leave it all alone I find myself just constantly staring at them, hoping they are all fine. All of them are active. I have held off feeding them today, hoping to not make the ammonia levels worse. Does the ammonia level need to stay rised while the TSS is trying to cycle my tank?? Any advice would be great!! 13w5d pregnant and HORRIBLE cold - can it cause a miscarriage?

I am 13 weeks pregnant and have a TERRIBLE cold. I dont think I have ever had a cold like this before. It started last Thursday. I had a regular ob check up and the hb was 160. I just had a sore throat that day. It has progressed and has gotten MUCH worse. I am coughing up gross dark green chunky mucus stuff in the AM and am really congested - I am so scared that all of the coughing can cause a m/c. I cough so hard that i gag. I have another dr appt later today but I am so concerned. I have very light cramping, but I dont know if its from teh coughing or if its from the uterus stretching. Should I be worried about miscarrying? I had 2 very early m/c last year and this is the furthest I have ever made it. Please, any advice? What are my chances that cough and blowing my nose constatly will lead to m/c?

Ariel's Grotto or Blue Bayou?

Hi, I'm going to Disneyland for my 16th birthday and I want to have a really special birthday meal. I've narrowed down my two choices of restaurants to Blue Bayou and Ariel's Grotto. I've always loved POTC (the ride and the movie) and I really like the atmosphere of Blue Bayou (I've never eaten there, just look upon it from the ride) but there aren't any characters and the food doesn't seem like anything special. At Ariel's Grotto the character lunch seems really fun, and the food seems good, but I feel like the actors won't put as much into their characters considering I'm not a little kid, also it seems like it gets really crowded and noisy during lunch time. Just because you're not "depressed" does not mean you don't need therapy....I can't say if you do or don't, but it's worth just checking out for a couple sessions and see how you feel, where it goes. There's no commitment to continue if you feel you don't need it, but you have nothing to lose. Maybe you'll learn coping methods or work on other stuff not related to depression, or other issues you might not be aware of. First session or two you'll get a feel of what needs to be talked about initially, and if it's a good fit. Good luck with this!

I have ashampoo.. the dvd burning software. I cannot get the avi files to mpeg right or something.. And I have 120 min dvds, and I can't burn a 90 min movie on to them? Does anybody have any advice.. Or a freeware that I can convert avi to mpeg without any major watermark (watermark okay, as long as its not horrible)? Any advice would help.. Even if you would like to advise a different dvd burning software - Free. Love them. They're a tricky brow type to manage though, because they snatch a lot of the eye's attention and can look really ungroomed when there's only a hair or two out of place. Thicker eyebrows make the face appear more youthful, but it also depends on your face shape. They can look way too "heavy" on some people.

39 weeks, could labour be starting?

im 39 weeks and 2 days. i think ive just lost my plug but im not too sure. it was like a clear jelly discharge but there was only a small blob. that was about an hour ago and just now i checked again and had like a stringy sticky discharge (clear). ive been having braxton hicks for a few weeks but they seem to be getting a lot more painfull. so painfull that i cant move or speak until it pes, although they are not regular. i had my midwife appointment last week and she said baby was 4/5ths engaged (she goes by 0/5ths being not engaged and 5/5ths being fully engaged). please tell me labour is on its way, i cant stick it anymore!! lol

So long as you can get a GPA of at least 3.0, you'll be able to get into a a decent amount of colleges. I would definitely recommend getting involved in at least one school activity (possibly a service one). Working will help because it will help to demonstrate your work ethic. Also, if colleges see that your grades got better as you went, they will take that as a very good sign of your potential.

My husband and I tried for almost 5 years to get pregnant- I was told that I would never be able to get pregnant but I'm now 24 months along! For the most part, I think it's stroller friendly. You will do a lot of walking. Note that the Capitol, Smithsonian down to the Lincoln Memorial is going to take several days. Not sure about the circualtor bus, as I never rode it. The Metro is very stroller friendly. Elevators at all of them and the gap between the train and the platform is only an inch or so wide. I brought my niece around, several years ago, in a stroller and had no problems.

I'm a physics major myself, with plans to get into theoretical cosmology as I go along. It seems to me that astrophysics is not really something you can get into say, once you go to grad school. Most universities accepting students in that area are going to look for good grades and the difficulty and amount of physics, math and astronomy cles you've taken as an undergrad. My advisor told me that to be competitive for top spots in this subject, one might even try to take some graduate level cles in the area before even going to grad school. All that to say, astrophysics is great, but you want to make sure you can commit to it.

I've been feeling nauseous lately?

I've been feeling nauseous the last couple of days. I feel a little better if I sit a certain way or if I walk around, but I usually feel sick, although I haven't thrown up yet. If I eat something like a poptart, I feel like I'm going to throw up. I can only eat light foods, and just a little at a time. Just thinking about or seeing heavier foods makes me feel sick. What is this rash on my baby's face?

There is a rash on muy 3 month old's face (cheeks, chin, jaw). She uses a pacifier, doesn't drool much but does spit up quite a bit. It depends on your league rules. If QB turnovers count against you, I would take Hill. He isn't flashy but he doesn't turn the ball over and usually has good yardage. The downside is that he is averaging just one touchdown a game. He should have a decent game against the Rams. Collins has a little better numbers so far but the Titan's offense hasn't been great.

To be or not to be a mom and mentor? Please offer advice?

I can't help but be concerned about my future options about a family. My parents want me to have a traditional family, with a husband that is Vietnamese and Buddhist, with all the right status and of course have biological children. I told her outright that I didn't want a family and might as well live single my whole life if I had to follow her terms. I find that I would probably live alone and be child free but I am concerned about the obvious issues of being alone (dying alone, no one to take care of you etc). I even considered adopting Chinese, Korean, or other Vietnamese children if I remained single, but of course this would require a solid support system and my mom would rather have me stay single than adopting, saying she wouldn't even help me cause they aren't her grandchildren. I was a bit appalled and saddened by this declaration. If I meet Mr. Right (kinda doubt it) then fine, but if I don't, should I adopt if I am able to even if my mom doesn't agree with me? I am also concerned about any issues of adoption, behavior issues, no bond clicking, etc. Maybe that solitary life suits me after all... -.-'

My ex-husband is living with his sister, and my two daughters who are 6 and 4 just got back from staying at their house for the weekend. They told me that while they were there, their 2 cousins who are 12 and 17 forced their heads down to smell a pile of their baby brother's vomit, and they made them stay there with their noses almost touching it. My daughter started projectile vomiting an hour ago and is very sick, probably from inhaling the germs. They also told me they get called names all the time and that the 12 year old tried to force my daughters mouth open to put a booger in it, and that the 17 year old tied a scarf around her neck and was dragging her around by it and choking her. Also, their 10 year old cousin knocked one of my 6 year old's front teeth out playing rough with her, and the 17 year old burned my 4 year old's ear with a curling iron really bad. They also put their s directly on my kids' faces and fart on them. I talked to my girls' dad and he blew it off as just kids playing. I called their aunt, who just denied that her perfect children did anything, without even talking to them. So my question is, what can I do? I can't deny their dad's visitations, can I? I don't want to stop him from seeing them, but I don't want my kids around their cousins unless they get sternly warned that they will get in serious trouble if they treat my daughters like that again. It looks like that's not going to happen though, so what can I do? Is there any kind of order I can add to our custody papers to help? What else can I do?

I think you have some great ideas but I'm not a mets fan so I'm not aware of the Mets strengths or weaknesses. Ichiro would be a great addition to any team. Great out fielder and hitter. I see him staying with the M's through 2009. I just don't think Ichiro is the fit for the M's..he's one of their greatest players other than Edgar Martinez. I think he would be interested in going into a contender in 2010 because he's getting older and someone like him deserves to be with a winning team that will get into the play offs. K-Rod would also be a good guy to add to your bullpen..he's a great pitcher. My 9 month old wakes up and can't settle himself back to sleep!?

This is driving the both of us crazy. My other two weren't not such light sleepers. He was in the room with us for a while and would wake up if we even tip-toed by his bed. He's never been a great sleeper but now it's obvious that he can't settle when he goes into a lighter sleep cycle. He wakes up early from naps, wakes up about 2 hours after going to bed at night and every few hours thereafter. I find that if I try to give him his pacifier he just gets angrier and more upset that I'm even there and not picking him up. He seems to cry less if I don't get involved -but it's still too much crying as far as I'm concerned. I'm afraid this is my fault because he spent much more time in our bed then my other two. I just did it to survive, to get some sleep because I was the mother of two other children. It was easier to nurse him and sleep that way. It worked great. I wasn't near as tired but now it's biting me in the rear. What do I do? Will he ever get out of it?

Painful skin rash!!!!?

My symptoms are--I'm tired all of the time. I wake up in the morning and I'm ready to lay right back down. I am urinating it seems like 20 times a day. I am bloated and have swollen extermities. Usually about 5-15 minutes after I eat I have to go to the bathroom and have loose stool. I also have a painful skin rash that is accompianed by blisters. The rash is on my arms, back, trunk and thighs. I have been to the doctor for my rash and she told me it was like a fungus so she gave me anti fungul cream. Ok well I might be ok with that but I'm not a dirty person and the rash keeps reappearing every two to three weeks and it hurts like hell. I do have but the doctor told me it's not shingles because you only get that once and it's not reaccuring. I have been tested for diabetes and my sugar levels are fine. I'm tired of doctors but I just recently found out my son has Crone's disease. My mother ped away yrs ago from Crone's at 54 and I'm 41......... any suggestions???

MSN Problem..?

I downloaded MSN 2-3 days ago. I have two MSN accounts. Now before[2 days ago] when I loaded up Windows XP, next to my name it said "4 unread messages. 2 unread messages". They were underlined, so you could see who's messages needed to be read. I read all of them, and deleted them. Today, I'm logging onto my computer and I see that by name again it says "4 unread messages". I removed MSN and all of its components from my computer. I deleted Temporary Internet Files and my Cookies. I restarted my computer again, and the "4 unread messages" is still there. Is there anyway to resolve this? I remember I use to have this problem when I first really used MSN, but I think it went away I just don't remember how. Help please, thank you.

My car electrical system is acting up, what is causing it?

I went to the gas station filled up the tank with gas, I got back in car to start it nothing. Lights, radio, wipers, horn worked fine. The tow truck came and though I needed a jump but it did not. The engine would no start or even crank, just a click sound. I drive a 97 plymouth breeze. I had the starter taking out and examined it was fine. Could it be the alternator? Because now the car lights are getting dimmer and dimmer and my car alarm barely works. But when I jump the battery the lights and alarm comes back strong, but dies a couple of days later. what is the problem? I miss my car, it will not start.

PAYING FOR DOCTOR MISTAKE?! PLEASE HELP!?

I have been the middle person between my insurance, lab work, and primary care physician for over a month now. I am being charged for my annual blood test that should've been covered at 100% by my insurance company. I found out from the in-network hospital I went to for my blood test that I am being charged because my lab sheet requested the HIV1, RNA Quant bDNA test. I am a 100% healthy individual and am HIV negative - I was ured by my doctor that this was all routine so why not have it done on paper. I, of course, have NO IDEA what is checked on the lab sheet and trusted my doctor naturally. I am at a loss as to what to do because none of the parties are admitting fault and no corrected claim is being submitted to my insurance to clear me of these charges (over $350). Could you please give me some lead as to me whose fault this is? I also found out that the HIV1, RNA Quant bDNA test should ONLY be done on HIV positive patients. Why did the lab people go ahead with this test if they already knew I was HIV negative? Please advise! Thank you so much!

Atkins diet??? Any experiences -- good or bad?

I once did the atkins (about 4 years ago) and lost about 50 pounds; over the course of time, I gained more than half of it back. I did the diet again for about 3 months and lost about 30 pounds. I am tired of the diet, and I think a healthy diet needs to include carbohydrates and natural sugars. Has anyone a similar experience with this diet where you loose the weight, but then gain either some of it, or all of it back? I do exercise, though not as much as I would like.
