Are apple blueberry or chocolate pancakes really originally Canadian?

I just find it hard to believe that no one else thought of this before us, its just so obvious. The reason I ask is I see it mentioned on a couple of websites that it originated in Canada. Then again, tasty tasty er tarts are pretty obvious too. lol.
