What would you do in this situation???

If your spouse/bf or gf forged your name on some credit cards and other stuff would you turn them in? What if they were spreading nasty rumors around about you and slandering your name making you into the bad person would you still report them or would that make some one a snitch. You have know this person for over 10 yrs.
